CAFNEC is currently running the ‘Growing Solutions to Climate Change’ project, which promotes low carbon living options in Cairns, and encourages local residents to reduce their carbon footprint.

This free program will include workshops, events, film screenings, tree planting and giveaways.

This project, an initiative of the Cairns and Far North Environment Centre, is funded by the Queensland Government’s Low Carbon Diet program with the support of the Gordonvale Community Hub and will be running until May 2010.
