CAFNEC exists to ensure that the incredible natural heritage of Far North Queensland is protected. Our members are the backbone of our organisation, and we rely heavily on their donations and memberships to keep CAFNEC afloat.

The environmental challenges facing our region are numerous and immense - from pollution to habitat clearing, from climate change to changes in political attitudes towards the environment, CAFNEC is involved in all these issues to ensure the natural environment is given a voice.

We believe most people are concerned about the state of the planet. We believe most people want to do something to assist secure a better future for the Earth and all its inhabitants - to be a part of the solution.

CAFNEC is run as a very efficient community organisation with significant contributions of time and expertise from skilled and experienced volunteers. This allows us to deliver services far in excess of our operating budget.
